I won't mince words here. There is a reason why the point and click adventure genre became obsolete, its games like this.
Many years ago I loved Monkey Island, now, I can't stand it. Its a complete bore. Technology has progressed beyond point and click, its time to let the genre die, unless of course someone wants to make another Maniac Mansion game, I would be all for that.
NEVER!!
Intel cant soldier a decent IGP onto a motherboard to accelerate video much less 3D. Did you really think they were going to shock the world with their entry into the discrete graphics market? Its all smoke and mirrors.
This is probably the most in depth report I have ever seen on this topic.
And AMD gets to reap the benefit of increased margins on 5xxx product until they are contested. The ambitious nature of Fermi and Larrabee are leaving AMD in a very nice position.
My game level load times need this tech!
Piles of cash and nobody to hold them accountable.
I just picked up a couple of ignores from that comment. Apparently pointing out the fact that they are doing this to try to recover the looses from the RROD mishaps is a little too fanboy or something?
Seriously, the reason for this move is to protect their first party share of peripherals which carry a high margin so they can help dig themselves out of the hole that poor quality control dug for them.
Entertaining read.
This was a hideous move on Microsofts part. The 360 is blunder after blunder, first you cant get one to work for more than a few months, and when you do, they brick your 3rd party accessory's. Microsoft, I'm sorry you lost billions in this cycle and need to make it up by bilking consumers on overpriced 1st party peripherals but its your fault for manufacturing such a massive hunk of self destructible junk.
It was bad marketing. HD Remix came out way too close to IV. Its as simple as that.
Certain classics fare better in updates. I have no desire to play 16 bit Mario Kart at this point. I love Retro, but some franchises benefit from their progress.
You do realize rape is violent?
Cliffy B has good taste
As if the cancer were not enough, now it voids your warranty on your inferior, overpriced yet stylish tech purchases!! Damn!!
L4D2 is kind of like Valves version of Madden. There is a roster update, a new training mode, but nothing truly innovative from last years model. Does that mean its not good? Not at all, its still fantastic fun, but its definitely a game they are looking to build an annual franchise on.

I know this will blow some peoples minds, but its actually less expensive to upgrade your PC than it is to own a PC and a separate console.
8 Bit blood spatter effects!
Please fool, everyone knows PC is the real way to game ;*)
I agree, its 100% marketing horse poo.
